Lycanian[edit]

A race that's very secretive, but wide spread. They usually form into a tribe, or undertake adventures under the guise of a unique Gnoll, That being said it is rare to know anything about this race.

Physical Description[edit]

Lycanians are rare, however only because they are usually mistaken for Gnolls. Lycanians range from brown to grey to white to black. They all have digitigrade legs, and fur coats much like that of wolves. Their eyes also varies in color, but the most notable are brown to green to blue to red to yellow to purple.

History[edit]

Lycanians are a newly Discovered species that are scattered throughout the lands. Over the course of the decades they have been seen, although mistakenly associated with Gnolls. They have passed throughout the ages in obscurity, but you could spot a few serving as a mercenary, or as criminals. Some have even gained Noble Titles. They have also been conscripted into Foreign armies as they are great fighters and warriors. There have been notable Lycanians such as Old One Eye the Slayer of Hobgoblins, and Lajok The Slayer of Demons.

Society[edit]

Lycanians are much like humans and lizardmen. They can grasp moralities and the like, but they also tend to be primal. they hunt in "Packs" of 15 to 20, and they are ruled by a Patriarchy with a specific lineage leading the pack until the pack leader is challenged, and defeated by either a rival pack leader, or a fellow pack member. The former would absorb the other pack growing into a larger pack. Lycanians are known, when in numbers of 50+, to make homes into mountains with primitive tools, or with tools they steal, and buy with money they get with jobs. Their "Dens" range from Primitive to surprisingly modern and cozy. With some Pack leaders having personal libraries that anyone can access. These types of packs are usually the oldest and more has an air of a human town with Dwarven tones. The rule of "you keep, what you kill" still applies to the pack leader, but this is rare as it would likely cause discord within the "Pack". Young wolves even sometimes leave their home pack and explore the world becoming Vagabonds, or adventurers. However Lycanians are not godless, Camulus is their god he holds Domain over Survival, Combat, and Hunters.
