Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: What is the action needed to use many of the paper shape traits? How much paper do you need to eat to regenerate? Living Spellbook, Monstrosity[edit]

"where did he go?" - the guards were looking for a monster that seemed to be hiding in the library.
When they least expect it, a bang is heard. the guard looking for him fainted as he was hit on the head with a sledgehammer by an arm protruding from a book on the shelf. - "Ave Maria Doindo, it's already 7 with this guard, you won't disturb me"
The hand went back inside the book, waiting for the next person to disturb him.

Living Spellbook Names[edit]

the Book of Living Spells has names of spells that are on its spellbook pages or names of its former owners that are written on the back cover Spell name: Alarm, Secret Chest, Eyebite, Mage Armor

Living Spellbook Traits[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 2 and your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Age. A book of spells although it looks like a ordinary book, they can live for two centures.
Alignment. Spellbooks are neutral in their alignment, and are prone to chaos by their magical nature.
Size. Slim, lithe, flexible bodies and weigh around 90 pounds.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Type. you are a monstrosities
Pefect Mind. ​​​​​​Like a genius mind, you can choose one of the two benefits below: ​​​​​

  • You have advantage on all skill checks against magic
  • You have advantage on Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic.



Paper Shape. Speelbooks are living magic books and the paper form allows you great flexibility. You gain the following benefits:​​​​​​​

  • Once upon a time. You can choose to transform into a book, in this form you are indistinguishable from other books, giving you advantage on stealth checks on inhabitants conducive to your camouflage, your locomotion drops to 10 feet , you can put a hand out of the book and attack at a disadvantage. If someone opens the book completely, you will be forced out of this state.
  • razor blade. You can create weapons with the light and slashing properties you are proficient with, using your body or parts of it into paper weapons, the chosen weapon having the same properties as the original.
  • Regeneration. You can incorporate sheets from other books into your body. You regenerate hit points equal to your level + your proficiency. If your life points are full. You can gain hit points equal to your level. You can only use this ability once per long while barefoot. After that, the leaves separate from its body and the original leaves reappear.
  • Mouldable. You can shape your body any way you want. Be able to transform parts or small parts of your body into fragile origami objects, stretch your body up to 9 meters, move papers in place and reconstruct or form new proportionate limbs. If a leaf separates from your body, you have no control over it until it rejoins you.
  • Quick Read. You can write the spells you know on the leaves on your body instead of using a Grimoire.
    Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
