Sorcerer Subclass
Your magic derives from the Elemental Plane of Earth. Perhaps you were born during unusual seismic activity, or near a portal to the Plane of Earth. Maybe you were descended from the mighty and greedy dao. Earth magic permeates your soul.
- Stoneborn
The magic that you use is powered by the Elemental Plane of Earth. You can speak, read, and write Primordial. (Knowing this language allows you to understand and be understood by those who speak its dialects: Aquan, Auran, Ignan, and Terran.)
- Origin Spells
You add the following spells as Sorcerer spells to your known spells, and they do not count against the limit you can know.
Sorcerer Level | Spells |
---|---|
1st | absorb elements, earth tremor |
3rd | dust devil, earthbind |
5th | erupting earth, meld into stone |
7th | conjure minor elementals, stone shape |
9th | conjure elemental, transmute rock |
- Earthen Magic
Beginning at 1st level, you have attuned to elemental earth magic. When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher, you gain a bonus to your AC equal to the level of the spell slot used until the start of your next turn. You are also unhindered by difficult terrain caused by earth or rock.
- Heart of the Mountain
Starting at 6th level, your veins run with earthly power, protecting you from harm. You gain resistance to poison damage and advantage on saving throws against poison.
When a creature that you can see hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to deal bludgeoning damage to the attacker equal to your sorcerer level.
- One with the Earth
Starting at 14th level, you can meld into the earth. As an action, you can spend 3 sorcery points to gain a burrowing speed equal to your walking speed for 1 hour. Additionally, you gain tremorsense out to a radius of 10 feet.
- Lithic Soul
Starting at 18th level, your skin turns hard as stone and just as enduring. You have resistance to nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage.
