Lepidoptera

Physical Description

Bipedal winged insectoids with a fuzzy abdomen, large compound eyes and antennae.

History

Lepidoptera mostly keep to themselves choosing to stay in their native homeland of the Solar Fields in the Feywild or in the deepest darks of the Underdark. However some are known to wander the Material Plane alone in search of adventure, fame, and a good time.

Society

Lepidoptera have formed a matriarchal society keen on defending their queen who governs the day-to-day life of the colony. Lepidoptera are a semi-nomadic culture who are often only seen when on a seasonal pilgrimage to new foraging grounds.

Lepidoptera Traits

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2 and your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Age.
Alignment.
Size. Speed. Your base walking speed is <speed> feet.
Weighed Down. Because of your wings, you have a flying speed equal to your walking speed. You can’t use this flying speed if you’re wearing medium or heavy armor.
Cold and Soggy. Lepidoptera need a body temperature of at least 55°F to fly. When it's colder, they're too weak to fly likewise when taking frost damage they must succeed a con save of 12. Likewise, they will have trouble flying when considered wet. All movement is halved with this condition.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
