Play a legion devil if you want...
- to literally be from hell
- to be a strong, terrifying badass who may or may not work for the devil
- to be a outlaw, mercenary, or simply a rebel to most of your own kind
- And to be a member of a race that favors the fighter, warlord, rogue, and warlock classes.
Physical Qualities[edit]
A legion devil's skin comes in a variety of shades and colors. Most have red, brown, or hazel skin, while the rest can come in gray, blue, or any color that may have been in hell. Nearly every legion devil is muscular and fit (because they were, in fact, built for war). A legion devil's horns are a few inches long and about 1 inch wide. Their tails are 3 to 5 feet in length. A legion devil's eyes have the same color variations as it's skin. All legion devils prefer armor instead of clothing, marked with the symbol of the god they worship. the average legion devil reaches adulthood at the age of 15.
Playing a Legion Devil[edit]
Legion Devils are the main rank-and-file soldiers in the armies of the Nine Hells. At least, that is what most scholars understand of them. Yes, most are shock-troopers and cannon fodder in armies from hell, but those who escape usually try to start over with mercenary work or attempt to take a liking to spellcraft or other kinds of combat. However, a legion devil abandoning its dark, violent nature is a rarity. A legion devil will usually join a group of adventurers because of the pay, old debts, or personal relations with someone involved.
legion devil Characteristics: scary, violent, bad-ass, strategic
Male Names: Gerfad, Osyluth, Spinagon
Female Names: Grabnia, Bettery, Matriud
Legion Devil Adventurers[edit]
Three sample legion devil adventurers are described below.
Barius is a legion devil fighter. Originally from Hell, he left service after watching his entire cohort get ripped apart by an angel platoon that they were commanded to kill. He may have dropped out, but he is still a warrior at heart. He now works with a small band of heroes. He has informed them he would try not to kill them, but these companions are suspicious of him. How he can guarantee that the fate of his prior comrades would not repeat itself?
Grandius is a legion devil warlord and warlock. While most legion devils are bred in hell, Grandius was born in the natural world. Her parents died not long after she was born, so she was raised by a tiefling and a cambion (What? The nuns at the orphanage thought it was a good idea.) Her tiefling father taught her battle tactics and her cambion mother taught her how to channel magic from hell. When she turned 23, she left her village to see the world. She now leads a small team of heroes, where she acts as a leader and artillery.
Heradim is a legion devil rouge. he was born and raised in hell, where he briefly served in the military as a scout and part-time guard. after a few years of service, he resigned and decided to take p mercenary work in the natural world. he was hired by cults and other evil organizations, until he was led into an ambush by a client who worked for some demon who hated devils and the nine hells. luckily,he survived, and killed the man who set him up. now, he has joined a small group of adventurers, where he try's yet again to start over.
Legion Devil Utility Powers[edit]
When your legion devil character gains a class utility power after 1st level, you can forgo taking a power granted to you by your class. Instead you gain a legion devil utility power of the same level or lower.
