Kroog (5e Background)
From D&D Wiki
Kroog[edit]
Kroogs are primal psions, living in the wilderness with their clan. They are untrusting of civilized folk, and are typically a race or class that is more psychically attuned. Ask these questions when building your Kroog:
•Why do you trust (or distrust) the other characters?
•How did you develop (or lose) your psychic powers?
•How are you able (or not able) to combine your psychic and physical powers?
Skill Proficiencies: Arcana, Athletics
Tool Proficiencies: Alchemist's tools
Languages: Deep speech, Primordial
Equipment: Choose between Explorer's pack and Dungeoneer's pack
Feature: Wild attunement[edit]
Your unnatural strength can pay off in the brutal wilds. You can maintain a wealthy lifestyle in the wilderness by using your natural attunement to the wild to create minor but lasting changes to the environment to make it more comfortable to most.
Alternate Feature: Psychic might[edit]
Your psionic strength can allow access into mercenary groups and military barracks, as you are very capable of helping them, and they want to repay you.
Suggested Characteristics[edit]
Kroogs are usually undeveloped in mind, and this can lead to strange quirks about them.
