Kro (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Kro[edit]
The Primary and dominant race in Lligris.
Physical Description[edit]
A diverse range of hermaphroditic humanoids that strongly vary in terms of characteristics, both external and internal, but with some consistencies. Multiple vital organs (hearts, lungs, brains etc) a series of black marble like objects connected to their brains that they use to channel magic through, a prehensile hollow tube around the crotch that can reach up to 3 ft in length they use to give and receive sperm through, multiple rows of teeth that never stop being replaced (the teeth can range from normal teeth to singular shearing plates).
Metaphysical Description[edit]
The Kro's soul consists of an arcane demiplane 'shell' within themselves that they can freely manipulate and control, and an avatar that resides within the demiplane, which is their true form. most Kro can only access this demiplane through their dreams but some can project the soul outside if they are sufficiently strong and have the necessary practise, which they use to create magic, temporarily substituting the reality of the physical world with the reality of their metaphysical self.
If a Kro's physical body is destroyed their soul lingers, either snatched up by one of the Lords or left to wander the world, without a physical body through which to interact with the physical plane. Over time the state of the soul deteriorates until eventually the Kro suffers a death of personality and becomes a blank, losing it's personality, memories and experiences; this process can be delayed if other Kro remember their existence.
Through the use of certain spells and rituals other Kro can access this demiplane and interact with it and its avatar. If the Kro projecting destroys the avatar the soul is destroyed permanently.
