Kitsatronian[edit]

I'm not a kitsune damn it!!!
—Every Kitsatronian ever

Physical Description[edit]

Kitsatronians are humanoids with vulpine features. They have fox ears, a fox nose, bushy tail, and retractable claws. While they sport no whiskers, their cheeks are decorated with markings that denote them. Depending on if a kisatronian was raised in their home world Kitsatron, they have different physical features. Kitsatronians that lived their lives on the home world have ears directly on the sides of their head. They also grow at a similar pace to a human, and mature into adult bodies. Their whisker patterns are also more pronounced. Those who were raised off the planet, on, say, a spaceship, have ears that perk up atop their head, not at the side. They never grow out of a youthful body and are adults even though they physically resemble children. Their whisker markings are easier to conceal, being lighter and less conspicuous.

History[edit]

Kitsatronians are aliens from the planet Kitsatron and one of the nine races part of the Galactic Republic. Their kind was once more numerous, but an environmental disaster rendered many parts of their home uninhabitable. Many kitsatronians were made homeless as a result and had to crowd together into the limited spaces left on Kitsatron. Their elders notified the Republic, which offered to raise some of the newer kitsatronians off the home world to help with the problem of space. Clean up of Kitsatron is underway to this day as the kitsatronians remain split. Much of the older generation stayed behind on the planet while others went to live up in the prepared space stations. Kitsatronians are typically raised in the lush meadow environments in a space station known as the USS Experience (D&D-42) alongside many other alien races. They are very scarce on other planets, to the point some people theorize they are a legend to begin with. Compared to kitsune, they are even rarer in number and are respected by every race.

Society[edit]

They are an advanced race in both magic and technology. Kitsatronians honor their races traditions and take pride in their ingenuity and versatility. Post pubescent children are sent on a pilgrimage when they hit the age of maturity at 18 to prove themselves to their kind. This is a tradition from when kitsatronians used to send ships out to other planets to see what else there was out there. Those who fail to bring anything back are observed to never return anyway. There is a hope that something out there in the expanse of the cosmos could solve the problems plaguing Kitsatron today and allow for reunification of the whole race. Kitsatronians are not ungrateful to the Republic for the established housing, but they often find it hard to live with others due to their differing physical traits. Many resort to hiding their features when on the space station where they live alongside other protected races in artificial ecosystems. They are constantly confused for kitsune and that makes them angry.
