Khane is the god of war in Ymirhart, and a son of Odin. He is worshipped by all warriors preparing to battle, and may sometimes use his avatars to assist followers in the midst of a fight. Appearing as a well-built man towering over any mortal and wearing spiked bronze armour, Khane rides in a chariot pulled by massive oxen and is followed by great frothing hounds. He weilds a greatsword in battle. When he is not aiding his followers in war, he is usually fighting off evil outsiders threatening the gods. Priests of Khane are called Khaneates.
Dogma[edit]
Followers of Khane are devoted to combat. The vast majority of Khanate priests are war veterans, if not active warriors. Before every battle, many warriors are known to pray to Khane for good luck. Khane also praises the hunting and destruction of evil outsiders, and encourages his priests to aid him in this crusade.
Clergy and Temples[edit]
Khanate temples are not only places of worship, most are actually full-fledged forts with full defenses. Priests of Khane wear full bronze plate armour adorned with spikes and carry greatswords, as they often have levels in fighter or barbarian in addition to cleric. Khane's worshippers may at first look like evil cultists, drinking mead from the skulls of opponents and proudly displaying severed heads on their banners, but they are in fact usually good or neutral. Only a handful of Khanates are evil, and those that are never engage in acts against good. Khanate shrines dot warzones, and are often put in warrior's camps.
