Kata (3.5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Kata [Monk]
A series of repetitive exercises to focus martial movement. Starting at second level a monk may gain temporary feats for the following game day, similar to a Magic User's preparing of spells.
Prerequisite: Second Level Monk
Benefit: The number of temporary feats is equal to the Monk’s level divided by two and round down. The Monk is assumed to have the prerequisites for the feat, but not necessarily the bonuses for the prerequisite of that feat. For example a Monk selecting the Greater Two Weapon Fighting feat would not gain the armor class bonuses of the prerequisite 19 dexterity. The monk must spend one hour of study in a restful environment per feat in the kata.
The following feats may be selected: Acrobatic, Agile, Athletic, Combat Expertise, Improved feint, Improved Disarm, Improved Trip, Combat Reflexes, Dodge, Spring Attack, Weapon Finesse, Greater Two Weapon Fighting while unarmed, Greater Weapon Specialization while unarmed, Greater Weapon Focus with Kama, Quarterstaff, Nunchaku and Sai only, and any fighter bonus feat.
