Kaltamorn Government (Teon Supplement)
The Kaltamorn Federation is a semi-secular constitutional Federation governed by elected officials that holds sovereign rights over most of the Kaltamorn Region and governs most of its people.
History[edit]
The Kaltamorn Federation (KF) was formed at the outset of the War of Mortality due to the fact that the Dark Conclave (DC) conducted a mass-assassination of approximately 99% of the Kaltamorn region's royalty, all of their political leaders, and 88% of the region's remaining nobility all within a single night. The pandemonium that followed was quelled by the Divine Alliance (DA) who quickly worked to unite the mortal races and form a government to help them survive. The government took four days to be completely formed and in the interim period approximately 200,000 people were massacred by the Dark Conclave's forces. Technically the government was a Theocracy in the beginning as it was led by good-aligned deities. But the Divine Alliance stressed that eventually mortalkind would be left in charge of governing themselves.
Once the war had ended, the Divine Alliance helped the mortal races redesign the government to be more robust and flexible. Today the KF is largely autonomous and is officially a secular government, but the influence of the Divine Alliance is still present from a para-governmental, unofficial level.
