Kaiju Warlord[edit]

Kaiju are enormous monsters that have a ravenous desire for damage and devastation. They live in remote, frequently hostile locations, like on volcanic islands, in the icy polar regions, or at the sea floor, where they hibernate for a large portion of the year. Every now and then, a kaiju is roused from its hibernation and sets off to explore the land, frequently traveling hundreds of miles in the process.

Creating a Kaiju Warlord[edit]


Quick Build

Start With: Race: Goliath (for Strength, Constitution, and "Stone’s Endurance") Alternative: Dragonborn (for breath synergy), or Simic Hybrid (mutation vibes)

Background: Outlander (for the primal, beast-commanding flavor and Survival skills)

Key Ability Scores:1st – Strength (for smashing) 2nd – Constitution (for beam charges, tanking, and survivability) 3rd – Charisma (for commanding kaiju and intimidation)

Warlord Features[edit]

Titan Form

1st level As a bonus action, you can partially transform into a Kaiju for 1 minute. While transformed:

You grow to Large size.

Gain temporary hit points equal to your Kaiju Warlord level × 4.

Your melee attacks deal an extra 1d6 force damage.

You gain advantage on Strength checks and saving throws.

You can use this feature once per long rest, gaining an additional use at level 7, 13, and unlimited at 20.

Kaiju Roar 1st level

Once per short rest, you can unleash a thunderous roar in a 30 ft radius. All creatures of your choice within range must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your Con mod + prof bonus) or be frightened until the end of their next turn.

Beam Core

2nd level You develop a core that channels destructive energy beams. Choose one beam (you gain more at higher levels):

1. Atomic Breath (Fire) – 60 ft line, 5 ft wide. 4d10 fire damage. Dex save for half.

2. Gravity Pulse (Force) – 30 ft cone. 3d10 force damage + pushes enemies 10 ft.

3. Cryo Ray (Cold) – 60 ft line, 5 ft wide. 3d10 cold + stunned on failed save.

4. Venom Spit (Acid) – 15 ft cone. 4d8 acid + 1d4 ongoing acid damage.

5. Thunder Howl (Thunder) – 20 ft radius burst. 3d8 thunder + deafened on fail.


You can use a beam a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier per long rest. Beams scale in damage as you level.

Dominion of Beasts

3rd level You can communicate with and understand all beasts and monstrosities. You gain Speak with Animals and Speak with Monstrosities as innate abilities, always prepared.

You can attempt to Command a Kaiju or Large/huge/gargantuan creature once per long rest. The creature must make a Charisma save (DC = 8 + Cha mod + prof) or become charmed for 1 minute.

Titanic Resistance

5th level While in Titan Form, you gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from non-magical attacks.

Command the Colossals

9th level You can cast Dominate Monster once per long rest. When used on monstrosities or kaiju creatures, they have disadvantage on the saving throw.

Kaiju Emperor

18th level Your mere presence demands respect. Kaiju and similar creatures are non-hostile to you unless provoked. You can also summon a Kaiju ally (CR 10 or lower monstrosity or elemental) once per long rest for 10 minutes.

Final Form Ascension

20th level You permanently become a Titanic Entity:

Your size becomes Huge while in Titan Form.

You gain a legendary resistance (1/day).

Beam attacks deal maximum damage once per long rest.

You are immune to being frightened, charmed, or stunned.

Subclass Features[edit]

Aspect of the Burning One

Theme: Overwhelming power, nuclear fury, self-destructive bursts.

3rd Level – Nuclear Core Overdrive When in Titan Form, your body radiates unstable energy:

At the start of your turn, deal fire damage to all creatures within 10 ft equal to your Constitution modifier (min 1).

You gain fire resistance.

6th Level – Meltdown Beam You can sacrifice durability for overwhelming power.

When using your Beam Core, you may choose to take damage equal to your level to double its damage for that use.

Once per long rest, you may unleash Meltdown Pulse: a 30-ft radius explosion of flame and force for 8d10 fire damage. All creatures must make a Dexterity saving throw or take full damage (half on success). You are immune.

14th Level – Burn Incarnate Your Titan Form becomes a walking inferno:

Your fire damage ignores resistance.

You gain immunity to fire damage.

Enemies within 10 ft take 1d10 fire damage every turn they're near you.

Aspect of the Hive Mind

Theme: Evolution, mutation, necrotic power, swarm tactics.

3rd Level – Swarmform Link You can fragment your consciousness to manipulate lesser beasts.

Gain the ability to cast Summon Aberration once per long rest, reflavored as micro-destroyah entities.

You can speak telepathically with any monstrosity or aberration within 120 ft.

6th Level – Micro-Oxygen Beam You unlock a necrotic beam that ignores armor:

60 ft line, 5 ft wide. 5d8 necrotic damage; ignores resistances.

Enemies killed by this beam dissolve into goo and cannot be resurrected except by Wish.

14th Level – Perfect Evolution Each time you use your Titan Form, choose a mutation:

Wings (fly speed = walking speed)

Tail Blade (extra attack, 2d8 slashing)

Carapace (+2 AC) You can change your mutation during a short rest.

Aspect of the Storm Tyrant

Theme: Domination, storms, multiple attacks, tyrannical control.

3rd Level – Triple Threat You gain three distinct beam heads:

Each Beam Core use can fire three smaller blasts (range 60 ft, 2d6 each, choose targets freely).

Enemies hit by 2 or more blasts must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened.

6th Level – Tempest Sovereign While in Titan Form:

You are surrounded by a swirling storm (half cover from ranged attacks).

Once per long rest, summon a 30-ft wide storm that follows you for 1 minute, dealing 2d10 lightning damage to enemies at the start of their turn.

14th Level – King of the Storm You can fly at 60 ft speed.

While flying, your beam attacks gain an additional 1d10 lightning damage.

You can cast Control Weather once per long rest without material components.

Aspect of the Frozen Colossus

Theme: Implacable, defensive, cold and calculating power.

3rd Level – Glacial Hide Your skin becomes like living ice:

+1 AC.

You gain resistance to cold and slashing damage.

6th Level – Cryo Beam Mastery You can freeze enemies in place:

Your Cryo Ray now halves enemy AC (from armor only) for 1 turn on a failed Con save, as their armor freezes.

If an enemy is reduced to 0 HP by a Cryo Beam, they shatter into frozen shards.

14th Level – Immovable Titan You gain legendary stability:

Cannot be knocked prone or moved against your will.

When you take damage, once per round, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by your Kaiju Warlord level + Constitution modifier.

Aspect of the Hollow Hungerer

Theme: Body horror, rapid mutation, radiation and chaos.

3rd Level – Mutagenic Surge Once per short rest, you can rapidly mutate:

Grow an extra limb (reach increases by 5 ft), eyes (darkvision 120 ft), or armor plates (+1 AC) for 1 minute.

6th Level – Beam Evolution You can now fire your beam as:

A sustained breath (concentration, up to 1 minute, beam continues forward 60 ft each turn, auto-damaging anything in its path unless they leave the line).

Or split your beam into a spray of projectiles (4d6 to up to 3 creatures within 60 ft).

14th Level – Apocalyptic Rebirth If you are reduced to 0 HP, you may erupt in a catastrophic burst of radiation:

All creatures within 30 ft take 10d10 radiant + necrotic damage (Dex save half).

You fall into stasis and begin regenerating—roll death saves with advantage, and on success, you return with half HP and a new mutation (DM decides or roll).

Ability Score Improvement[edit]

When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.
