Judge of the Dead (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Judge of the Dead[edit]
Warlock Subclass
A dog headed warrior strikes down a wizard and as his blade connects with their soft flesh his wounds seem to magically close, a tabaxi wielding dual blades infuses his blades with necrotic magic and strikes down his opponent with rapid speed tearing apart their soul leaving them an empty husk of their former selves, a gnome cuts his hand open and casts a spell on his ally bolstering their defense while weakening himself.
The judges of the dead can be very useful no matter where they sit in combat, whether it’s in the frontlines sapping the life force from their enemies to bolster their own defense, tearing their enemies apart with weapons infused with necrotic magic in a flurry of strikes, or in the back-line blasting targets with necrotic magic and using their own health to buff their allies, they all have their own uses, but every Judge of the dead all have the same philosophy, they all search out and judge those who deserve to be sent to the underworld, for lord osiris to judge further

Spectral Contract[edit]
You've been chosen to judge those that are unworthy to live and its your job to send them to Osiris to judge them correctly.
At 1st level, you've been gifted a magic contract that the full name of a person appears on seemingly randomly, they are the ones that have been chosen by Anubis to be sentenced to death and its your job to send them to Osiris to be judged appropriately.
Choose one creature you can see within 60 feet to be the judged. For the next minute, once in each turn your attacks against the creature cause additional 1d4 necrotic damage. In addition, you can use a bonus action in each turn to teleport to a place within 5 feet of the creature being judged. The damage increases to 2d4 at 10th level.
If you fail to eliminate your target after a confrontation with them, you have to pray to your deity and beg for forgiveness and can't use this ability until you finish a long rest.
Detect Undead[edit]
Also at 1st level, you learn the detect evil and good spell. You also learn how to modify this spell, allowing you to just detect undead. If you do so, you can cast the spell as a ritual, but its effects last for 1 hour.
Divine Protection[edit]
Starting at 6th level, you gain resistance to necrotic damage.
In addition, when your Spectral Contract feature is active, you gain a bonus of +2 to your AC and can use a bonus action in each of your turns to Dash, Disengage or to make a weapon attack against the target of your spectral contract.
Necrotic Fortitude[edit]
Starting at 10th level, you gain the ability to create a barrier of necrotic magic. When you have a creature targeted by your Spectral Contract, whenever you deal necrotic damage, you gain a pool of Necrotic Fortitude equal to the damage dealt. This pool lasts until you finish a short or a long rest.
Whenever you take damage, the Necrotic Fortitude pool take damage instead. When the pool is reduced to 0 hit points, any extra damage goes to you, as normal. The Necrotic Fortitude pool stacks with temporary hit points.
In addition, while you have at least 1 point on your necrotic pool, you are immune to necrotic damage.
Judgement[edit]
Starting at 14th level, whenever you or an ally slays an enemy, you may preform a dark ritual to send their soul to Osiris to be judged accordingly.
This ritual lasts 10 minutes and, upon completion, you regain the use of your Mystic Arcanum of 7th level or lower.
Once you use this ability, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
