This spell creates two small, linked portals, similar to a pair of ring gates. The caster has full control of where the portals appear, however, the portals can be fooled similar to a teleport spell. To see how well the spell works, roll d% and consult the teleport table. An off-target or mishap roll simply results in spell failure, nothing more. The portals must be within 100 miles/level of each other, however, a portal can be conjured on any coterminous plane (such as the Ethereal, Shadow, or Astral Plane, if the spell is being cast on the Prime Material). Anything that travels through one portal appears at the other portal. The portals allow for instantaneous transport of items or messages. A spellcaster can even cast a spell through the portals. Once created, the portals last for 1 round/level, but the spell can be voluntarily ended at any time by the caster.
