- Artificer Subclass
Whatever the reason you landed yourself on a spelljamming ship, you now have been chosen or employed to use your artificer skills to maintain the ship. The worlds are your to explore and each ship is an opportunity to tinker.
- Tool Proficiency
When you adopt this specialization at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with Tinker’s tools. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan's tools of your choice. You also gain vehicle proficiency with Spelljammers.
- Jammer Spells
Starting at 3rd level, you always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare. Note: The Create Helm spell counts as a minor Helm.

- I'll Patch It!
Starting at the 3rd level and provided you have tinker’s tools and material, you can perform repairs on a Spelljammer. When you use this ability, you restore a number of hit points co the hull of a spelljammer equal to 5 x your proficiency modifier. A spelljammer cannot be patched by you in this way again until after it has been pulled ashore and fully repaired.
- Increase Magic Output
At the 5th level you can use one of your infused item slots to infuse the spelljamming helm. It’s 1 Ship Rating multiplied by prerequisite artificer level. You can also use this feature to reignite the magic required for the spelljamming helm.
- Envision
Upon reaching the 9th level, whenever you attempt to conceptualize a repair or an upgrade to a spelljammer that requires special materials, you know of said materials and where to find them, but dependent on the materials or what they will be used for, the DM may rule their rarity/difficulty when it comes to obtaining them. Additionally whenever you attempt to fix a spelljammer, make an upgrade or an addition, you have advantage on the ability check being made.
- Master Helmmaker
At the 15th level, your spelljamming studies have paid off. When casting the Create Helm spell, the casting time is now 30 minutes and the result creates a major and permanent Helm.
