Do you feel it son? That movement, that sensation, is the rhythm of life.



Physical Description[edit]

Itario are average looking humanoids. Their hair typically differs from either blonde or black. There are others of different hair color, but those are the most prevalent. Their eye color also usually varies from green, blue, and black. These are the most prevalent, but other eyes colors do occur. They are all on the leaner side, whereas the more muscular of them would still look muscular, just not as large as the average human would per se.

History[edit]

It is unsure where Itario have arisen. Some people say they were originally just a small family of humans. Others say otherwise. Whatever the case, Itario have been around for ages. Spreading their dancing culture across the races and peoples they've encountered. Itario have a long and rich culture of dancing, something they are proud of. This dancing has helped them through their wars against illicit substance abuse, the fey, and several others. This is not to say that they are a warmongering race, but they've been in their fair share of conflict.

Society[edit]

Itario are a dancing people. They live to dance, it is an intrinsic part of them. Their day to day life is comparable to that of real life Italians. They enjoy making food rich in carbohydrates, and attempt to make decent cuisine wherever they are spotted. But, besides the food, they certainly enjoy their dancing. Need a way to communicate with one another minus words? Dance. Need a way to express yourself after a draining encounter? Dance. Feel like dancing? Dance. Itario take their dancing seriously, and as such take pride in doing it well.

Itario Names[edit]

Itario are named after their parents, their parent's favorite foods, music, or dance. Itario take great pride in their name, and don it seriously. Even if it is something silly like a fruit for example.

Male: Donnatello, Narancia, Mambo, Rissoto, Marcelo.

Female: Trish, Pizzica, Insalata, Donatella, Bianca.

Itario Traits[edit]

Avid dancing people.
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2.
Age. Itario live life swiftly, mature at 15 and usually live up to the age of 80. This is not to say they cannot live longer however, it's just atypical.
Alignment. Itario live life to their fullest, and tend towards the chaotic alignment.
Size. Itario vary from 5" all the way to a little over 6", as such, they are medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 35 feet.
Performance Synchronizer. You are able to perfectly mimick the movements of anybody by doing a certain dance, gesture, or performance by making a DC 10 Performance check.
Inate Performance. By virtue of nature, you are able to gain proficiency in either performance or acrobatics.
Depth in Dance. You are able to communicate meaningful concepts and statements via dance. Anyone who isn't well versed in dancing (DM determined/non Itario) needs to make a DC 15 Investigation check to understand.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.

Airo[edit]

Ability Score Increase. The more dexterous of the bunch, Airo emphasize the art of dancing over other facets of the Itario. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Dance of Dexterity. Once per day, you may perform a two minute dance to invigorate yourself. After you do so, you gain advantage on skill checks involving Dexterity for half an hour.
Graceful Performance. Down to the nature of your people, you can easily perform the dancing within your DNA. Gain proficiency in performance and acrobatics related to dancing. If you already have either of these proficiencies, it counts as expertise.

Strato[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Strato are tough and layered. They are sturdier than most, and take life more seriously than other Itario. Your Constitution score increases by 1.
Dance of Life. Why live life short if you can live it longer? Life has a rhythm after all, so why not flow with it? Gain one addition hit point each level up. Each level up is also now accompanied by a dance.
Serious Stature. Strato dance with respect to their art, and endure the troubles of life better than most, particularly in their cerebral regions. Gain resistance to psychic damage.

Giojo[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Giojo are bizarre to say the least. They tend to dress in elaborate or very unique outfits. They have distinctive hair and fighting styles. Hell, even the way they talk and act is highly distinct. However, they are good at punching people. Your Strength score increases by 1.
Dance of Death. Giojo are no newcomers to combat, some would say it's within their DNA. As such, Giojo can use their main action to perform the Dance of Death, giving them advantage on their next roll to hit. This can be done once per day.
Striking Pose. Giojo are also rather fond of striking poses. In combat, it can be used as a reaction to any attack against your allies to have the enemy target you instead. If you are not the only person posing at that moment (via feature, not just a normal pose) then the opponent gains disadvantage on their roll to hit. This can be done once per day.


Straniero[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Straniero are the charmers of the Itario. They have a certain way of speaking and acting, that Itario have a hard time resisting. Needless to say, their oratory is great. Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Dance of Diplomacy. Straniero are no strangers to diplomacy. And dancing is a universal language, is it not? Straniero can perform this dance in attempt to befriend creatures that are not hostile. This can be done once per day.
Running Mouth. You've been running your mouth for so long that you've gotten good at it. Gain proficiency in persuasion.
