Inka' Jarr[edit]

Some say that they were born of the burning sands, others say that they were banished to the deserts by an angry deity. They claim that they were created by the gods and placed in the desert to test them, purge them, and prepare them for their eventual return to the heavens. They are a very religious people, of that there can be no doubt.

Personality[edit]

Inka' Jarr are a nomadic desert people. They don't have many visitors, but are generous and hospitable folk. They enjoy good stories, and reminisce about their histories most every night. If they are seen outside of their dwelling or hunting grounds, they would usually be found in a group, off to trade with other peoples.

Physical Description[edit]

Inka' Jarr are humanoids, with the males standing anywhere from 5' 6" to 6' 4", and the females being anywhere from 5 ' to 5' 10". The males usually weigh 120-180 lbs, and the females weigh 90-140 lbs. The Inka' Jarr have slits instead of normal noses, with inner flaps designed to keep the sand out. They also have secondary eyelids, which are tinted, making their eyes look black when the extra lids are closed. Their skin is tan, very similar to the color of sand, and looks fairly rough and dry. They also have a series of horizontal ridges across their foreheads, which lead back along their heads, narrowing gradually until they reach their spines. They are hairless, and their feet have extra skin between their toes, allowing them to traverse the dunes with relative ease. They tend to wear a series of loose fitting robes, and no shoes.

Relations[edit]

Humans: Inka' Jarr have many dealings with humans in trade, but tend to keep most humans at arm's length, due to the varied structures of human society. Dwarves: Inka' Jarr respect the order and discipline of dwarven society, and tend to see eye to eye when it comes to goblinoids. Halflings: They appreciate the communal aspects of halfling daily life, and enjoy sharing food and song with their guests. Elves: They have little in common with the elves, as they live in a desert. Socially though, they are of a similar nature, and get along well with elves. Half elves and half orcs: They have a great sympathy toward outcasts of any kind, and sure to their hospitable nature reach out towards such.

Alignment[edit]

Most Inka' Jarr are lawful good, although some of the younger ones tend more toward chaotic good. Almost never are they evil.

Lands[edit]

The Inka' Jarr dwell in wastelands and deserts, and being nomadic, move regularly. They live in tribes consisting of 60-100 people, and they hold an annual gathering of all of the tribes.

Religion[edit]

The Inka' Jarr worship in a manner very much like Hindus. They worship similar deities, in a similar manner. The major differences are that while the people try to behave morally, they believe that if they master their lesser selves; instead being kind, generous, and honest, they will be granted a return to the heavens with their deities.

They speak their native tongue, Han' jharru, and they speak basic, for trade.
