This spell gives the target creature a spell-like ability usable once per day. Any creature with an Intelligence score of 3 or higher can use the ability. Either the caster or the target must know or have available the spell to be made inherent.
When the spell succeeds, the target may utilize the ability once a day. Multiple castings of this spell can increase the number of times per day the ability can be used, and any spell-like abilities the creature already has may gain another use per day per casting.
Casting the spell costs 1000 XP per level of the spell to be made inherent (0th level spells count as 1/2 level) plus the GP value of any expensive material or focus components times 5 in XP, plus the XP it might normally take to cast the spell. If the target has a spell-like ability usable three or more times per day, whether from Inherency or not, the caster can pay twice the normal cost of adding the ability plus an additional 500 XP and make the ability usable at will. Caster levels are the same as the caster's level when the ability was gained. If the target has the ability to cast the spell, he may use his own caster level if higher. Differing caster levels default to the highest level.
Note that while spell-like abilities normally cost no XP to cast, if the ability would normally take 3000 XP or more to cast or is cast in such a way that would incur a cost of 3000 XP or more, it incurs the normal XP cost when used.
