1st edition AD&D can be very unforgiving, much more so in Infamous. General guides are necessary to show players the guidelines on what proficiencies to take, how to use different ability scores, and what spells might be most effective in any given setting. Characters die frequently, making easily referenceable guidelines for effective characters highly useful. The basic guide to Infamous character creation is a good place to start.
