Inchling Variant

Living just beneath the noses of others, small noises come from walls or late at night those are Inchlings working to survive with the help of other races. Inchlings began as scavengers living off others' homes to survive but now they are ready to join the world making their presence known.

Physical Description

Inchlings resemble humans at first glance keeping similar hairstyles features and general body type, however upon closer inspection the Inchlings have a more lean build even if they are exceptionally strong or weak. They also have very dense muscles allowing them to keep smaller frames while being easily strong enough to move and lift more than 10X their body weight.

History

Inchlings Had no clear origins as they are scattered all around the world but the general consensus is they came from a single Inchling named Isunboshi the first Inchling and expanded from their they live in other race's homes usually humans but have been known to be in elves, dwarf, halfling, and gnome homes.

Society

Inchlings don't have any strong society but they do have a strong attitude and will. Inchlings have a near unshakable will to survive, most Inchlings have dreams and aspirations, and once an Inchling makes their mind on something its hard to shake them or change that Idea. Inchlings are also capable of great change and adaptability that rivals humans. They are able to adapt to almost any situation and thrive. Most Inchling families can go whole generations without seeing another Inchling family but there do exist small communities of Inchlings known as Hives. These communities can be found either in very large homes like manors or deep in the wilds hidden by the natural foliage.

Inchling Names

Inchlings are very specific with their names, most families have family names are created through phrases like "Through the leaves" or "Running with Winds" translated through the native language they live with so orcish or elvish or even elvish. First names are usually derived from insects, flowers, spices, or fruits most names are also gender-neutral but they can lean masculine or feminine depending.

Male: mushi, batta, pop, jasper

Female: cho, hana, alyssa, willow

Inchling Variant Traits

Inchlings are similar to Humans but just smaller
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2 and a ability score of your choice increases by 1.
Age. Inchlings reach maturity at 15 and usually live to be 30-50 as most of their lives are ended early due to accidents but their natural life spans can go to 60.
Alignment. Inchlings are usually focused on survival so most will lean towards neutral alignments.
Size. All Inchlings stand anywhere between 2-3 inches and rarely get larger than that, though smaller ones have been spotted your size is Tiny.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 20ft. You also have a climbing speed of 20ft
Inchling Speed. When you take the dash action you can walk and climb an additional 20ft, You may long jump all your Strength score instead of half your Strength score, and you may high jump a distance equal to 1 + half your Strength score feet.
Super Light. due to your lightweight and small stature falling isn't very dangerous you have the effects of feather fall whenever you're falling.
Super Tiny. Due to your incredibly tiny size, you have trouble finding things that fit you. You cannot equip anything made for Small and bigger-sized creatures, and they must be tailored to fit you. You can only equip and use weapons with the Undersized property. However, you can fit in gaps as small as 1 inch without squeezing.
Unnoticed. Due to your small stature you can freely move through enemy spaces as long as they are at least 1 size category larger than you.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.

Beneath your nose. You gain profficeny in Stealth and Acrobatics.

Outsider

In the Grass. You gain profficeny in Athletics and Survival.
