Impure Tiefling (5e Subrace)

Tiefling Subrace[edit]
Tieflings are often seen as a muddled mix of devils and humanoids. Impure tieflings, however, are more mixed than most. They do not truly belong with the devils as tieflings do, but they can never fit in with humans either. They look very similar to humans, usually with pale skin and dark hair. However, they have small horns, a tail, and solid-colored eyes, usually either gold or blue. They usually come about in one of two ways. The more pure way of an impure tiefling to form is when a humanoid and a tiefling breed. Usually, this forms a human or a tiefling, but sometimes this forms an impure tiefling- a mix of both. It can also come about when someone infuses themself with devil blood, changing their genetics forever. Instead of being connected to Nine Hells, impure tieflings are more attuned to the Material Plane and the planes connected to it, blessing them with elemental magic rather than infernal magic.
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 1.
Human Heritage. You have inherited the versatility of humans. You gain proficiency in one skill of your choice.
Innate Spellcasting. Your infernal and human heritage has blessed you with elemental magic. You know the mold earth cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you may cast fog cloud once at 2nd level with this trait and regain the ability to do so after a long rest. Once you reach 5th level, you can cast darkness once with this trait and regain the ability to do so after a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
