"Upon my honor I do swear undying loyalty to the Emperor, and unwavering obedience to the officers of his great Empire. May those above judge me, and those below take me, if I fail in my duty. Long live the Emperor! Long live the Empire!"

The Imperial Legion is a faction led by General Tullius, they oppose the Stormcloak rebellion and their attempt to secede Skyrim from the Third Empire. A soldier of the Legion - a Legionary, may specialize in various styles of combat, and may have fought in various regions all over Tamriel. So if you are - or were - part of the Legion, where and how did you fight, if you have fought at all? Are you newly enlisted, or have you been on your tour of duty for more years than you care to count? Do you seek the thrill of battle, or are you deeply haunted by the horrors of war?

Fellow Legionaries may notice your badge and be better disposed to help you, even in combat. Merchants in allied towns may be willing to charge you less during barter.

Suggested Characteristics[edit]

How has your tour of duty shaped you as a person? Have you grown or receded mentally during your struggle as a soldier? Is the status of veteran something you will wear with pride, or shame?

d8 Personality Trait
1 Proud. I look at the people I know I'm protecting with a smile and a wink.
2 Aloof. I have little interest in casual conversation. I'm here on duty.
3 Honest. I come off as straightforward and blunt, a trait I gained from communicating with my squadmates.
4 Silly. When you're surrounded by death, only thing left to do is take it easy and joke around a little to lift the mood.
5 Stoic. I remain calm and determined when facing danger. It is difficult to shake my will.
6 Shy. Whether behind the frontlines or out in the wilderness, I always prefer to avoid direct confrontation.
7 Defiant. My squadmates either hate me or love me...my superiors think I'm a pain in the ass.
8 Sarcastic. War left me sort of detatched from any negative situation. I tend to look at things with a sense of irony.
d6 Ideal
1 Loyalty. I will stand by the law of the Emperor and follow my superiors without question. (Lawful)
2 Justice. I am willing to disobey my orders if they go against my moral code. (Good)
3 Thrill. I live for war. All I need is orders and my blade. (Chaotic)
4 Wealth. The Empire pays. I don't care what I have to do, as long as I get my salary. (Neutral)
5 Might. All who oppose the will of Emperor must be disposed of. (Evil)
6 Experience. I enlisted to see the world, to grow as a person and make my family proud. (Any)
d6 Bond
1 I owe a life debt to a brother in arms for saving my life during a harsh battle.
2 I have a family waiting for me back in my hometown and I hope to make them proud.
3 My comrades in arms are my real family.
4 I grew greatly attached to a senior officer, romantically or otherwise.
5 There's nothing waiting for me back home. War is the one thing that holds me together.
6 The people of the Empire which I'm sworn to protect - I hope to live up to my oath.
d6 Flaw
1 The atrocities I witnessed will leave me scarred for life.
2 I am very violent as result of my training.
3 I am prone to submitting to authority even if it goes against my wishes.
