Ichorbloods are Skeletons of the recently deceased, given new life by being soaked in the blood of a god, known as ichor. Ichor pipes travel throughout the body of an ichor blood to sustain it's life.
Play an Ichorblood if you want...
- to be a skeletal creature, and undead.
- to be long lived and resilient.
- To be a member of a race that favors the Warlock, Assassin, and Invoker classes.
Physical Qualities[edit]
The skeleton (and sometimes the brain) of a deceased humanoid, usually a human, makes up the main body of an ichorblood, but several tubes, steam-spewing machines, and a mechanical "heart" pump ichor throughout it's limbs and head, preserving it's conscience. Sometimes, but very rarely, the eyes of the deceased are in good enough condition to be present in the ichorblood's socket, but if not, then artificial eyes work just as well. All body parts are cleansed away and removed from an ichorblood at the beginning of it's rebirth, aside from the skeleton, brain, and hopefully the eyes.
Playing an Ichorblood[edit]
Ichorbloods cannot give birth, nor do they have a culture of their own, so they rarely wear clothing or armor, and don't bother to engage in song and drink, thinking such things are irrelevant and useless wastes of time and energy that could be spent fulfilling ones ambition. other races might think of ichorbloods as malevolent and even abhorrent, but ichorbloods are no more inclined towards evil than any other race. Ichorbloods on the whole are industrious and curious, none of them really understand their creation, but most believe they were placed in the world for the purpose of pursuing their goal, whatever that may be. Ichorbloods are sentient, but think of normal individual tools like names and jobs as alien, and interesting. Still, most accept any nickname given to them, even if it is rude or obscene.
Ichorblood Characteristics: curious, industrious, driven, Bold, hardy, resilient, awkward, alien, utilitarian, Rustic.
Names: Ack, Auner, Ball, bAdveLi, Creep, Driver, Furnish, Gall, Kill, Wire, Wierd, Zip, Scarysunnuvabich.
Ichorblood Adventurers[edit]
Three sample Ichorblood adventurers are described below.
Wire is an Ichorblood warlock, who enjoys watching his enemies writhe in pain from his Dread star power. He commonly receives scorn from commoners and monsters alike, but has sympathy for the former. He knows he has a dark demeanor, but at heart he is a hero. His comrades have seen this, and will always have his back.
Auner is an Ichorblood shaman, and she has always felt a strong connection with nature. She knows that her origin is less than natural, but she believes that ones actions define someone, not their birth.
Creep is an Ichorblood invoker, and a servant of the raven queen. He believes that the raven queen spared him of death with her blood, and that he is forever in her debt. He uses her might to smite her foes, particularily devils.
Chuck is an Ichorblood Bard, viciously mocking his enemies, and is considered the strongest entity in the known universe.
