Hunter Patron (5e Subclass)
Hunter Patron[edit]
Warlock Subclass
You have sold your soul in exchange for the service of a monstrosity. It's ever-changing form bound to you until death. Some simply hide them from view and away from prying eyes. Others flaunt the beast and go out of their way to forge stronger and greater pacts with their familiar.
Monstrous Alliance[edit]
At 1st level, You have bound your soul to a monstrous creature in turn for it's alliance, granting certain effects.
- You can cast the find familiar spell, ignoring material components and concentration of the spell.
- The Familiar summoned carries a CR equal to 1/4 your level (unless its CR is higher) and can make it's own attack as part of it's action.
- The Familiar created by any find familiar cast by you now is monstrous instead of celestial, fey or fiend.
- Anytime your familiar takes damage you can instead take that damage to your own health. This damage can not be reduced or changed in any way.
Protective Bond[edit]
At 6th level, The Bond between you and your familiar has grown. For as long as your familiar is within 60 feet of you, It gains a bonus to AC equal to your proficiency bonus.
Striking Bond[edit]
At 10th level, The Bond between you and your familiar has grown even more. Your familiar adds your cha modifier to attack rolls, damage rolls and saving throws DC, for as long as it remains within 60 feet of you.
Powerful Bond[edit]
At 14th level, The Bond between you and your familiar has grown to near it's peak, to the point you can reflect the companion you follow. At the end of a long rest you can choose to take a single feature from your familiar. It can not be under the effects of any spell at that moment, otherwise this feature ends and can not be repeated until another long rest. When you take on the single feature you grow any required appendages or physical requirements needed for the feature to function.
