Mist Walkers[edit]

Personality[edit]

Mist Walkers are people of many races that have been branded with a curse in some way. Either by a Deity, Cult or Spirit. Usually having a brand along the neck symbolizes a curse. The cure in question varies from person to person. Almost always permanent since it marks the soul of the host. Usually treated as a disease they are commonly scorned by their peers. Usually even by their own families as well. Making them outcasts that learn to survive on their own or perish in the world. This has made the surviving Mist Walkers strong and resilient. As such they are normally requested as mercenaries and bounty hunters. Some have even cut themselves off to become monks and rangers. Hiring them for tasks that will kill them is considered a mercy as it shortens the suffering of the host. When Mist Walkers are branded they normally gain the abilities of an animal. Looking rather close to resembling a therianthropic (or "thrope") of some kind. This takes the shape of a Wolf, Bear, Ox, Horse, or Leopard. This transforms them into humanoids of that animal and is not a reversible process.
