Hoplon Guard (3.5e Equipment)

Hoplon Guard: This Large, Round Wooden Shield tapers to the edges and has a slight dome shape. It's edge is plated with bronze, and the inside has two thick leather armstraps and a handle.
This Shield is a boon to any tank, drawing and deflecting arrows and protecting its user from critical hits as an Arrow Catching, Arrow Deflecting Tower Shield of Light Fortification. It protects better in formation, providing an additional temporary +1 shield bonus whenever another wielder of a Hoplon Guard is within 5 ft. and conscious. This bonus increases to +2 when two others wearing Hoplon Guards are within 5 ft. and conscious, but does not increase after that.
