Hoorn[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

[[File:|thumb|caption]]
{{{3}}}

Despite being derived from Cudel, Hoorns have a very different look. They are mainly land animals with various colored fur (darker colors like maroon, navy blue, dark green), naturally muscular, but they are slim and only reach about 6 feet tall. They have eyes like Cudel and goats, allowing them to see wider as well. Furthermore, they have snouts like a bull as well. They do have similar hands and feet to Cudel though, including the rubbery skin, but without the suction cups. They also are bouncy and elastic like Cudel, but have developed more bones.

History[edit]

The History of Hoorn is long and complicated, but this is a general overview of the most important aspects.

Names[edit]

The origin of label "Hoorn" given to the alien species was derived from the origination of the word "Horn." Unlike humans and LAIs, Hoorn chooses their "surnames" by the color of their fur. However, many Hoorn have the same colored fur, so they tend to regard each other with the same color as very distant relatives. They do have close-knit families, though.

Traits[edit]

Hoorn is a fast, humanoid species, and unexpectedly strong. They are cautious and protective, but also kind and highly cultural. They have developed elasticity and rubberiness, along with prey-oriented eyes.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1, and your Dexterity increases by 3. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.
Age. When Hoorn is born, it takes them 12 years to fully mature, and then they live to be about 90 years old.
Alignment. Hoorn tends to be lawful, neutral, or good, and although many of them are evil, they never really are chaotic.
Size. Hoorn are slender and aren't that large when compared to humans. They have a smaller range of height, being around 6 feet tall, give or take 3 inches.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 40 feet.
Springy Body. Because you have the traits of a Cudel but also the form of bones, you have a body that is elastic yet firm. This allows you to be able to not only run faster, but also strike quicker. As long as you can use one or both of your arms, you have +2 to all melee weapon and unarmed strike attack rolls.
Prey Eyes. Your eyes are built differently, literally. It allows you to see more space around you and avoid blindspots. With eyes like you were prey, you can see everything from in front of you to the sides of you, as opposed to humans that can only see in front of them and have to use their peripheral vision to look to the sides of them. As long as you can see, you have +5 to passive perception only.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Cudeloqui, Hooris, and Common. You also know one other language of your choice.
