Also known as a cock-horse (as in "Ride a cock-horse to Banbury Cross..."), a hippalectryon is a fantastic creature with the front half of a horse and the hind half of a rooster. Its hair and feathers are flame-coloured with yellows, oranges and reds.
These beasts can be tamed much like a horse, and can be found as mounts.
