Game Rule Components[edit]
Starting Ability Scores (Before Racial Adjustments)[edit]
In game, the time change the build needs. Basically, there are tree stages in the game, which change according to your level. This stages are: Early, mid and late game.
This stages end and begin depend of your level, but another factors may change that. For example, your DM block polymorph? How the DM see magic abuse? Access to magic items? Gold?
In general, physical stats are more attractive in early game. Mid-late game, metal scores. If your DM is more restrictive, increase physical stat.
Early game:
In the begin of the game, polymorph is not available. You are a rogue or/and a wizard with skill.
Stat buy order:
DEX => INT > CON > FOR > WIS > CHAR
Mid game:
Polymorph-like spells and stat boost items more frequent. You are squish, but be smart.
Stat order:
INT > DEX > CON > WIS > FOR > CHAR
Late game:
Polymorph-like spells and stat boost items is a common day. Physical stats no are important because you use the new form or spells protect you against attacks. Be smart.
Stat order:
INT > WIS > DEX > CON > FOR > CHAR

Race (Templates)[edit]
A list of features to choose a race:
- Anything with bonus to DEX and INT will be good.
- Small races get nice bonus
- Some races with good traits
- +0 LA races and templates
The list of Races[edit]
- Human
No error in 99% of cases. No stat bonus, but minor bonus and extra feat is hot.
- Silverbrow Human
Same as normal human. Change skill bonus for feather fall(sp) 1+1/5HD and, the gold, gain dragonblood subtype. Dragonblood qualify for some feats.
From Dragon magic pg.6.
- Tinker Gnome (DCS#27)
+2 Dex, +2 Int, -2 Str, -2 Wis, small. Good on early game. Dragonborn combination can be interesting.
- Lesser Tiefling(PGtF#191)
+2 Int, +2 Dex, -2 Cha, medium. Not too bad, but not too good. The dragonborn version can swap Darkness(Su) for fly ou enhancement senses.
- Elf-like
Elf-like races penalizes CON, 99% of cases. But, some race gain bonus on INT and DEX, and dragonborn "template" can mitigate the lack of CON.
A list of good elf races: Fire Elf, Gray Elf and Silvanesti,
- Strongheart Halfling(FR#18)
-2 Str, +2 Dex, small. Emphasis mine, gain a extra feat like humans. Like humans, but gain bonus for rogue.
- Dragonborn(RotD#5)
A template to apply to a humanoid race, you gain:
+2 Con, -2 Dex. Drabonblood subtype and choose fly, blindsense or dragon breath on high levels. Lose race base abilities.
Good for races without or with lesser especial abilities.
