Hell Hound[edit]
“ | Feel how the flames of hell burn your flesh and bones to ashes, mortal!. | ” |
Physical Description[edit]
Hellhounds resemble robust, muscular, athletic, dark-skinned humanoids, having canine ears on their heads, a long, hairy tail, as well as hands and feet similar to the paws of a canine, with claws at the end of each one.
This race usually has black hair that almost always covers their legs and arms. In addition, his demonic features are evident when seeing in his eyes that they have black sclera and red pupils, in addition to some parts of his fur that seem to have a pattern similar to fire in some parts with a fur of a bright orange color.
History[edit]
They were created by the highest ranking demons to serve as grunts in their armies. Due to the lack of demonic troops, the race of hellhounds was taken and given a more humanoid body, a more intelligent mind and the gift of reason so that they would be more competent in fulfilling their duty and Failures are reduced to a minimum.
However, due to their infernal nature they were difficult to create and reproduce was very complicated, to the point that they had to go through several mating seasons in order to have a small litter of hellhound puppies. The difficulty in creating them led the demons to not use them as much and that greatly limited their population, but today there are still some demons researching this race to make it profitable, although the majority of hellhounds only wander around the hell in search of a master to serve or a partner with whom to reproduce.

Keen hearing and smell. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell, and you have proficiency in the (Perception) skill.
Bite. You can use your bonus action to bite one creature, dealing 1d4 Piercing damage. At level 5 the damage of your bite is upgraded to 1d6 Piercing damage + 1d4 fire damage and count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. The damage increases to 1d8 Piercing damage + 2d4 fire damage at level 11.
Fire Breath. You can use your action to exhale a wave of flames. Each creature within a 15-foot cone must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus.
The damage increases to 6d6 at 5th level, 8d6 at 11th level, and 10d6 at 17th level. When you reach 5th level, the size of the cone increases to 30 feet. After you use your fire breath, you can't use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
Infernal Legacy. You have resistance to fire damage. Also starting at 5th level, as an action, you can channel your infernal energy to protect yourself. For 1 minute, you become immune to the fire damage. Once you use this trait, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.
Hellstep. Due to the constant experiments that the demons did on the hellhounds to turn them into perfect grunts, they partially absorbed the power of hell into their bodies. As a bonus action, you can magically teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
When you reach 5th level, your hellstep allows you to target each creature you can see within 5 feet of you to take fire damage equal to your proficiency bonus.
