The Hell Children[edit]

When a human child is born in the Nine Hells, naturally something strange is afoot.

Physical Description[edit]

Essentially, hell children look very similar to your average human child in stature. They have soft, young features and are around the same height and weight as most human children. What sticks out at first might be their white hair and red eyes, which makes many mistake them for albinos. However, upon closer inspection, you will notice their white hair has red streaks that appear more prominently when they are enraged. Their red eyes are also more like the color of blood, and their pale skin is actually a shade of ash grey upon looking closer.

History[edit]

There have been adventurers who had mishaps in the Hells, or became stranded. Those unfortunate enough to be so have sometimes, according to record, given birth to life down there. What is known about these births is little. It is said they devoured the flesh of their own parents upon emerging from the womb to a world saturated by fiendish energies. These few occurrences seem to have been able to reproduce and propagate, producing a meager population that roams the Hells. They bear the presence and scent of a fiend, but are regarded as the lowest of castes. Those who escape the Hells in the stead of their parents find a world of strange new experiences.

Society[edit]

In the Hells, the hell children reside in covens that roam the Hells, escaping persecution. Those who escape the Hells are known to be few. Arriving on the Material Plane, they have little to no one to call their ally. Ingrained in them is an innate distrust of the world due to their often tempestuous upbringing. They are rarer out of Hell and have no known community. Usually they hang around humanoid cities until they move on to avoid too much interaction lest their true nature be discovered. This usually occurs when people realize this child is one who never ages and speaks strangely mature for their appearance.

Hell Child Names[edit]

Hell Children take mainly human names. Amongst themselves, they have nearly no naming structure.

Male: Vasile, Marx, Red, Boran, Ivan, Vlad, Damien

Female: Sophia, Trix, Myskina, Eve, Elizabeth, Lily
