Hastened Barrier works similarly to the ability Immediate Defence, allowing the caster to cast any non-offensive spell as an immediate action before any attack or save roll is made.
The spell(s) cast using Hastened Barrier need to be prepared before combat similar to how a wizard casts their spells.
The spells that can be cast are determined by a kind of 'points' system. The amount of 'points' available to be spent are equal to half of your caster level. Level 0 spells can not be cast, a level 1 spell would cost 1 point, level 2 spells would cost 2 points, and so on. The caster will also have to make a Con save (DC 20 +spell(s) level -Wis mod), failing the save will cause any and all spells cast in this round to instantly fail.
