Haki-User[edit]

The Strongest Haki-User, Red-Haired Shanks

Haki is dormant in every living person, but for most people, it's rare to ever awaken the ability. Intense training can awaken it, as can extreme shock, such as with Koby during the Summit War of Marineford[7]. Two known people (Aisa and Otohime) were born with the ability awakened, with no known training.[8][9]

Haki is apparently quite difficult to master, as Rayleigh stated that two years was not enough time to learn the basics, though several characters managed to master it within the time-skip, including Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Tashigi, Smoker, Koby, Bellamy.[10] Haki can also become stronger, especially when a Haki user pushes themselves and their Haki to the limit and beyond in battles against stronger opponents.[11]

Due to the fact that Haki originates from an individual's spirit and not their physical body, users are still capable of using it even if their spirit is transferred into another body.[12] It is also possible to maintain and use Haki while unconscious, as seen when Newgate used Kenbunshoku Haki in his sleep to defend himself from Ace;[13] when Chinjao was defeated and he still maintained Busoshoku Haki on his head after he fainted;[14] and when Luffy released a burst of Haoshoku Haki after being knocked unconscious by Kaido.[15]

Making a Haki-User[edit]

Haki-Users have mastered the 3 types of Haki: Kenbunshoku (Observation), Busoshoku (Armament), and Haoshoku (Conqueror's) Haki. These 3 types make the Haki-User better in all forms of attacks.

Abilities: Surprisingly, Charisma is the most important score for the Haki-User. Second is Wisdom followed by Constitution.

Class Features[edit]

Haki-Users come in all makes and sizes, making anyone a potential threat to you. Haki-Users can choose many paths to become a stronger fighter. All of the following are class features of the Haki-User.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Haki-Users are proficient with all simple and martial weapons and light armor.

Haki Forethought: When unarmored/light armored and unencumbered, the haki-user adds a +1 bonus to AC every two levels after 1st. Because your training has just begun, you have to spend an action to activate this ability and a bonus action every round after to sustain this ability. The haki-user may use this ability a number of times per day equal to a third of their levels (minium of once per day). The haki-user also adds one fourth his Charisma Modifier to the AC Bonus.

Haki Boost: At 1st level, a haki-user gains Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. A haki-user's attacks may be with either fist interchangeably or even from elbows, knees, and feet. This means that a haki-user may even make unarmed strikes with her hands full. There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a haki-user striking unarmed. A haki-user may thus apply her full Strength bonus on damage rolls for all her unarmed strikes.

Usually a haki-user's unarmed strikes deal lethal damage, but she can choose to deal nonlethal damage instead with no penalty on her attack roll. She has the same choice to deal lethal or nonlethal damage while grappling.

A haki-user's unarmed strike is treated both as a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects that enhance or improve either manufactured weapons or natural weapons.

You may use this ability a number of times per day equal to twice your level. The damage die also changes by increasing the amount by an extra die every four levels and increases the dies size by one every eight levels.

Haki Presence: The ability takes effect automatically whenever the haki-user attacks, charges, or uses an action to activate it. Creatures within a radius that is presented on the table above that have less HD than the haki-user are subject to the effect. A potentially affected creature that succeeds on a Will save (DC 10 + ½ haki-user's HD + haki-user's Cha modifier) remains immune to that haki-user's conqueror's haki for 24 hours. On a failure, creatures with 4 or less HD become panicked for 4d6 rounds and those with 5 or more HD become shaken for 4d6 rounds. Haki-users ignore the conqueror's haki of other haki-users that are equal or lower level then them.

Haki Reinforcement: The haki-user has been able to master their boosting of their haki that they can use a less powerful version to enhance their weapons and shields. When the haki-user applies the benefits to items, they have their hardness multiplied by a fourth of the haki-user's level rounded down and extra hit points equal to twice the haki-user's level. The item also deals damage equal to one less stage of the armament haki table of the user's level. This ability can be used a number of times equal to half the haki-user's level rounded down per day. This ability lasts for 10 minutes per Charisma Modifier Bonus.

Haki Reaction: When an attacker that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to halve the attack’s damage against you.

Improved Haki: You have mastered some of your haki to the point that you can use your armament haki an unlimited times per day and have your observation haki always active.

Warlord's Strength: Having achieved a higher mastery of haki, haki-users learned more about how to control the different types of haki they wield. Haki-users gain a +4 to Charisma, use their Haki Reaction twice per round instead of once, use Haki Reinforcement a number of times per day equal to your level, and enhance your Haki Presence: On a failure, creatures with 8 or less HD become panicked for 4d6 rounds and those with 9 or more HD become shaken for 4d6 rounds and now have a new function: you can spend a full-rounds action to increase the Will Save DC by half your character HD (using all instead of half in the DC calculation detailed in the Haki Presence ability).

Haki-Users in the World[edit]

I have come to end this war!
—Shanks, Human Haki-User

Haki-Users are just Fighters with extra abilities.

Daily Life: Sailing the sea searching for treasure, Devil Fruits, and "conquering" the world.

Notables: "Red-Haired" Shanks, Whitebeard, Blackbeard, Monkey D. Luffy, and most importantly.............USSOP!!!!!.

Organizations: Haki-Users tend to meet on Pirate Ships or by enlisting into the Marines.

NPC Reactions: NPCs do not view the Haki-User any different than a Battle Sorcerer or Paladin.

Haki-User Lore[edit]

Characters with ranks in Knowledge (Sailing) can research Haki-Users to learn more about them. When a character makes a skill check, read or paraphrase the following, including information from lower DCs.

Knowledge (Sailing)
DC Result
5 Fighters that have a special quality.
10 Fighters who have harnessed their will power.
15 Fighters harnessing their will power to enhance their natural abilities.
20 Users of Haki can pull off otherwise thought to be impossible feats.

Haki-Users in the Game[edit]

Haki-Users can just fit in the spot that fighter also fits into even replacing Fighters in some games.
