The Hachiwara is a unique shortsword, approximately 18 inches in length, used to pierce or stab, especially against armor. +1 to damage rolls against targets wearing Medium or Heavy Armor. The distinctive hook on the back of the blade can also be used to disarm opponents. +3 to Disarm checks.
