Gun Fu Specialist (D20 Modern Advanced Class)

The Gun-Fu Specialist is not to be taken lightly. His expertise in the blending of close and ranged combat -- particularly against multiple opponents -- is unmatched. In the time it takes the Gunslinger to put a bullet in a man with deadly precision, the Gun-Fu Specialist has already dropped the man who has met him head on, and the men stupid enough not to have taken cover.

Action Points: 6 + one-half character level, rounded down, every time the gun fu specialist attains a new level in this class.

All of the following are class features of the Gun-Fu Specialist:
Improved Close Combat Shot
At 1st level, the Gun-Fu Specialist gains the ability to make attacks with a medium or smaller sized firearm without provoking attacks of opportunity. The Gun-Fu Specialist is also capable treating a medium or smaller firearm as a melee weapon for the purposes of threatened squares, the extra attack granted by Improved Trip, armed attacks while grappling, and similar effects or abilities.
At 1st level the Gun-Fu Specialist gains the weapon finesse feat with all medium or smaller firearms for the purpose of making melee attacks
At 2nd level, the Gun-Fu Specialist's melee attacks become more powerful. When the Gun-Fu Specialist uses a medium or smaller firearm to pistol whip someone, he does 1d6 damage instead of 1d4, and the critical threat range of his pistol whip becomes 19-20. These attacks are considered armed and do not provoke attacks of opportunity.
Starting at 2nd level, the Gun-Fu Specialist understands where to hit where it hurts. Once per round, the Gun Specialist may increase the damage of one of his ranged attacks by 1d4 when shooting with a medium or smaller firearm at a target within 30 feet. At 5th level, the damage increases to 1d6. At 8th level, the damage increases to 1d8, and can be used on any target within one range increment (or 30 feet, whichever is higher.)
At 3rd, 6th and 9th levels the Gun-Fu Specialist gains a bonus feat. He must select a feat from the following list and he may only select a feat that he meets the prerequisites for;
Brawl, Improved Brawl, Improved Disarm, Combat Expertise, Unbalance Opponent, Dodge, Heroic Surge, Power Crit, Blind Fight, Agile Riposte, Skip Shot, Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Precise Strike, Weapon Focus, Quick Draw, Quick Reload
At 4th level, the Gun-Fu Specialist learns to use opponents as cover when engaged in melee combat. He gains Elusive Target as a bonus feat even if he does not meet the prerequisites
At 4th level, the Gun-Fu Specialist gains the ability to apply his bonus from the Dodge feat to a number of opponents equal to ½ his class level. If he does not have the Dodge feat, treat this as the Dodge feat until it is acquired normally, after which this class feature functions as described above.
Execution Shot At 5th level, the Gun-fu Specialist can brutally polish off his enemies at close range. When using the Clever Shooting class feature on an enemy that he threatens in melee, he applies his dexterity modifier to the damage dealt.
Ranged Combat Expertise At 7th level, the Gun-fu Specialist is as adept at dodging bullets as he is at dodging blows. He may make use of the Combat Expertise feat even when not engaged in melee combat. If he does not have the Combat Expertise feat, treat this as the Combat Expertise feat until it is acquired it normally, after which this class feature functions as described above.
At 10th level, the Gun-Fu Specialist may coat the battlefield in a shower of bullets. The Gun-Fu Specialist spends 1 action point and may make use of the Whirlwind feat with the following exception: he may choose to use a medium or smaller firearm for this attack. He may not exceed the range increment of the weapon, nor may he combine this with the Clever Shooting ability
