Lothorewyn, the Corrupted by velinov |
Warlock Subclass
A twisted amalgamation of tree and nightmare, it hungers for all life to grow its own self. It devours the life inherent in all its forms and corrupts its surroundings to facilitate this process. Life to death to life, from flesh to corpse, towards power unending. So was your choice, in a bid for any scrap of power that could be found you discovered it. A thing of living death -a small thing, but powerful nonetheless. You bonded with it and the shard sensing a kindred soul bonded with you. The result was a creature of both parts but greater than its sum would or should bring. Where you go from here is now the question.
The chosen of a gulthias tree seeks power in most powerful of ways and the most effective is the simplest -that of the old ways. To kill and to devour and not necessarily always in that order. Relentless and constant, such is the Unliving Tree.

The Hungry Tree's Grasp[edit]
When you bond with this patron you receive the cantrips shillelagh and thorn whip.
Vampiric Strike[edit]
"Feed me. Feed Me. Feed Me! FeEd ME! FEED ME! FEED ME!!"
At 1st level, you gain a number of charges equal to your proficiency bonus. You can expend 1 charge to regain a number of hit points equal to the damage dealt by your melee weapons. You regain all charges on a short rest. This heady sensation is overpowering to the mind, body, and soul. Every time you use this feature, you must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or be afflicted with short-term madness.
Blightbringer[edit]
"One is many and many are mine."
At level 6, you may manifest the icon of the Gulthias tree and devour a Medium or larger sized corpse. You may roll a number of hit die equal to the CR of the creature killed with a minimum of 1. This does not expend any of your hit die. Optionally, instead of rolling for hit points, you may have the image form a number of blights equal to the CR or your Charisma modifier which ever is lower. The blights summoned may be any combination of "twig blight","needle blight", and "vine blight" the total number equal to half your level rounded down. The creatures summoned are loyal to you and a number of creatures equal to your Charisma modifier unless attacked where they will specifically target the attacker. All other blights and other evil plant creatures don't regard you as hostile unless you harm them.
That Which Corrupts[edit]
"Some wouldn't die no matter what I did. So I ate that as well."
Starting at level 10, when attacking a creature it can no longer regain hit points. This resets on a long rest. Your hit point maximum and ability scores can no longer be reduced.
The Manifestation of Evil[edit]
"I'll be back. I always will."
Starting at 14th level:
- As long as you have a hit die, you can spend it to remain at one hit point if you would be brought down to zero.
- You are immune to poison and necrotic.
- You regain 1 hit point per turn. You die only if you start your turn with 0 hit points and can't regenerate. All dismembered parts are regrown from the head or the next largest body part if missing and so on.

Each time a charge is spent, red blood oozes from the weapon's pores, and you must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or be afflicted with short-term madness.

While grappling the target, you have advantage on attack rolls against it and can't use this attack against other targets. When you move, any Medium or smaller target you are grappling moves with you. To break free requires a Strength saving throw equal to your spell save DC.
