The Guardian of the Sacred Grove background embodies a character whose life is rooted in a deep respect for nature and an unwavering dedication to the protection of ancient, life-sustaining forces. Whether they’re a powerful brute or another fierce warrior, Guardians have an innate connection to the living world, one that grants them strength, resilience, and a powerful purpose.

Languages: Celestial and Abyssal
Equipment: A small totem carved from the wood of the Life Tree, a set of traveling clothes, a greatsword from your clan, a memento from your family (a leather armband with the clan's emblem), and a pouch with 10 gold pieces.
Feature: Unbreakable Spirit[edit]
As a Guardian of the Sacred Grove, you are imbued with the enduring strength of the Life Tree. Your connection to the ancient forces that sustain your homeland grants you an unyielding will and powerful physical endurance. You gain the Tough feat and a +2 Strength bonus, reflecting your training as a protector of the Sacred Grove and your hardy upbringing amidst the elements.
Feature: Life Tree's Blessing[edit]
Once per day, you can draw upon the sacred energies of the Life Tree to fortify your body and spirit. You gain temporary hit points equal to your level. These temporary hit points last until the start of your next long rest and fade after a short or long rest. This ability symbolizes the life-giving connection that your clan shares with the Life Tree, a bond that fortifies you against harm.
