Large fiend (demon), chaotic evil Armor Class 14
Saving Throws Dex +7, Cha +6 Incorporeal Movement. The demon can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It takes 5 (1d10) force damage if it ends its turn inside an object. Light Sensitivity. While in bright light, the demon has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight. Umbral Shroud. While in darkness, the demon is invisible to any creature that relies on darkvision to see it. ACTIONSClaws. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) psychic damage or, if the demon had advantage on the attack roll, 22 (4d8 + 4) psychic damage. Devour Sanity (1/Day). The shadow whispers dissonantly at a humanoid that is within 20 feet of it that can hear it. A protection from evil and good spell cast on the target protects it, as does a magic circle. The target has dreadful thoughts as long as it is not deafened and the demon is not incapacitated. If these thoughts last for at least 8 hours, the target gains a form of indefinite madness. BONUS ACTIONSShadow Stealth. While in dim light or darkness, the demon takes the Hide action.

Greater shadow demons long to return to their true forms and will serve any master who promises to aid them in this task. Shadowy Nature. A greater shadow demon doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep. |
