Greater Eldritch Spear (3.5e Invocation)

This blast shape invocation extends the range of your eldritch blast to 250 feet with no range increment, plus 25 feet per invoker level.
In addition, your eldritch blast gains a penetrating effect, similar to the Great Cleave feat.
If your blast deals enough damage to make the first target it hits drop (typically by dropping it to below 0 hit points or killing it), you get an immediate, extra attack, with your eldritch blast, against any valid target directly behind it that is within the rest of the blast's range.
This continues until you miss, you no longer drop your target, or you reach the blast's maximum range.
All valid targets must be in a line; greater eldritch spear does not allow you to ricochet or bend your blast in any way.
