People often think that plants and flowers live an entirely gentle and benevolent existence, but this assumption is dead wrong. Plants live in a constant struggle for survival, preying upon one another for nutrients and valuable resources in order to grow and conquer. Thus, sometimes, when a lion of notable valiance perishes, the plants that would devour its remains instead reanimate the beast through magical means, using it as their new vessel to obtain the ever so sought after nutrients they need. Herbivorous Predation. Grass lions are ravenous predators, but like plants, their main prey item is other plants. In particular, these beasts prefer to hunt other sentient plant creatures, such as treants, plant centaurs, and florans as opposed to other animals or beings of flesh. |
