Growing from barnacle-like seeds, goose trees are a wild species of plant native to distant jungles and islands far off the coast. Rich folks will often pay great sums of money to import goose trees, as they produce a very steady supply of meat and by extension; eggs, if tamed. Odd Flora. Long ago people wondered where wild geese went during the cold winter months. Later when ships become more and more common, humans discovered an island far off the coast of Chult which species of mobile tree would produce geese; explaining where they went. The goose tree was thought to be a myth until specimens were discovered on other islands. Fowl Tempered. Goose trees are quite slow moving and are usually tame. However if it notices that someone is approaching with ill intent it will lash out vilely with a flurry of pecks and beatings. Goose trees rarely attack elves and gnomes, but always attack goblins and kobolds for unknown reasons. |
