God Touched (5e Background)
From D&D Wiki
God Touched[edit]
A person who is god touched is someone who has had some form of interaction with a god or goddess that left them in their current state. As a reward or something cruel, god touched people are gifted in situations regarding the mind and are given a clearer way of thinking about the world around them.
Skill Proficiencies: Religion, Insight
Languages: Celestial and one other of your choice.
Equipment: A holy book relating to the god/goddess who affected you, a history book about the gods, a notebook and quill, a set of traveler's clothes, and a pouch containing 15 GP
Feature: Prophet[edit]
Directly interacting with a god is no common occurrence, and has left you being the talk of the churches. This has left you with many friends as well as enemies. Followers of the god or goddess who has interacted with you will take you in as needed, and even possibly provide offerings. However, those who resent the god or goddess may turn you away, or even respond to you with hostility.
Alternate Feature: Guidance of the Gods[edit]
While you may not know what your purpose in life is, the god or goddess who directly affected you does and has a plan for you. When you are feeling lost, your deity shows you what you are needing to do, be it through visions, dreams, or in-person interaction.
