Glitched NPC (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Glitched NPC[edit]
Warlock Subclass
(Disclaimer from OG creator: this will probably not fly in typical medieval campaigns, so recommended in sci-fi/modern!)
- This is a Warforged and Autognome exclusive race.
The Glitch grants you the following spells.
Glitched NPC Expanded Spells Spell Level Spells 1st Fog Cloud, Hex 2nd Vortex Warp, Summon Beast 3rd Major Image, Nondetection 4th Phantasmal Killer, Illusory Terrain 5th Seeming, Skill Empowerment
- Replacable Body
Starting at 1st level, your mind and memory are stored within the database of the glitch. If you die, your mind can be transferred to a separate body. The body's details are as follows: It takes 3000 GP and 5 weeks of in game time to recreate a body. The body has base stats of 10 in each stat, but you can move them around. (ex, you can have a 9 in constitution and an 11 in dexterity by moving one point). Whoever makes the body can spend an additional 100 GP and 1 day to add 2 to a stat. Your class abilities and racial abilites stay the same, but the creator can choose to swap between Autognome and Warforged bodies during creation, for 150 GP. Whoever makes the body has to make a DC 13 Intelligence check to upload your mind to a body. On a failure, your mind is obliterated in the transfer due to an error/mistake. On a success, your mind is transferred. Other Warlocks of the Glitch auto-succeed.
- NPC Mode
Your connection to your game as a NPC is still active. Starting at 6st level, you can connect yourself to virtual spaces. While in this form:
You are Blinded and Deafened. All entities inside of the program take 1 Psychic damage every round if the warlock wants that person to take damage (ex, you could have one take damage but no one else) They can search the code to find the location of entities inside the program.
- Firewall Breach
Starting at 6th level, you can force a creature to make a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC, on a failure the target has their AC reduced by 3 for 1 minute. You can do this once per long rest.
- Lag Virus
Starting at 10th level, the Glitch can slow down reality itself, as for you, the virtual world and material world grow ever closer. You can force a target to make a DC 10 Constitution Saving Throw. On a fail, their next turn is skipped. You can do this an equal amount of times to your proficiency bonus, refreshing after a long rest.
- Code Theft
The Virtual and Reality have fully merged at 14th level. You can now summon a random item from your virtual game universe to your location (This only works in NPC Mode). See below, and the DM can determine statistics. These last for 1 hour, and this can be done once per long rest. Roll a d100
