Githet[edit]

Githet are great hunters, combining quick, stealthy movements with both natural and arcane camouflage to surprise prey. They are clever and organized, often driving prey into traps or ambush. Githet often use weapons of wood, bone, and stone, including bolas, slings, obsidian studded clubs (treat as battle axes), and javelins with an atlatl. The preferred weapon of Githet, however, are their claws and teeth. Most Githet have an affinity for the arcane and are born with a small amount of racial magic within their bodies. This manifests even in the youngest of children, and those Githet without such abilities are often cast out of their Clans, considered to be cursed.

Physical Description[edit]

Githet

A Githet resembles a lithe, graceful, and athletic humanoid with a leopard or jaguar-like head and a tail. They have beautifully spotted fur pelts that range in color from light yellow to jet black. They have sharp teeth and retractable claws, which are their primary weapons in combat. They are tall and slender and have eyes of green or yellow.

Society[edit]

Githet dwell in tropical or subtropical jungles in clans of equal parts male and female. Each of these clans has a 'Lair' where they live; some 'Lairs' are temporary, but most are small villages of huts hidden within the trees. Each Lair is made up of several groups known as a 'Hunt'. Each 'Hunt' functions like a family unit of hunter/gatherers that works the land around a clans 'Lair'. A 'Lair' will typically contain some young Githet, plus an elder who is part of the clan's council of leadership. These councils are the ones that make any decisions concerning the Clan, their members, or their lands.
