The Giant Flying Purple Baby is, just as it's name suggests, a Giant Flying Purple baby. It still has it's umbilical cord attached and has full control of it, much like the tentacle of an octopus or a monkey's tail. It is sometimes seen wearing a big fuzzy purple top hat, but this is a rare occurence and usually brings good fortune.
Dogma[edit]
(Note: This Deity was created by DismalDIRGE and his friends for use in campaigns when a player was not there. The Giant Flying Purple Baby was used to swoop down from the sky in a purple mist to kidnap the characters of those who were missing for that day. When they returned during the next session, the Baby bestows a gift to those who were not there to make up for any EXP or items they have missed. Although this was a recurring character and just a joke, I decided to create the Deity for others to use and have fun with. It is purely comical but I recommend it to anyone who has trouble explaining where certain characters disappear to in a campaign.)
The only requirements of being a Umbilicabalist (Priest of The Giant Flying Purple Baby) is that the worshiper must spread the name and glory of their great Infant God. The Giant Flying Purple Baby randomly appears in a purple mist to take adventurers away into the Purple Womb of DOOM for a undisclosed amount of time and disappears in a purple mist. Eventually the adventurer will be returned to where it was or to it's group and the adventurer will usually have a gift bestowed upon it. On the other hand, the Giant Flying Purple Baby may also eat his followers who have wronged it or also swallow others who are actively fighting the spread of his word. If this happens, the Baby will take you to the womb of DOOM and the eaten entity will have to pass a test to be released.
Clergy and Temples[edit]
The priests of the Giant Flying Purple Baby, also know as the Umbilicabal, worship the Purple Baby with awe inspiring loyalty and convert all whom they are able to whether with conversation, or force. Any Temples are always painted fully and adorned in only purple. At the center of the temple is always a giant cradle, waiting for the baby to visit and bestow great gifts.
