Innate Spellcasting. The manticore's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 12). The manticore can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: darkness, faerie fire, invisibility

Multiattack. The manticore makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws or three with its tail spikes.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d8 + 5) piercing damage. If the manticore is in a moonfire rage, it deals an additional 5 (1d10) fire damage.

BONUS ACTIONS

Moonfire Rage (2/Day). The manticore enters a moonfire rage for 1 minute. While it is in a moonfire rage, a creature that touches the manticore or hits it with a melee attack takes 5 (1d10) radiant damage. Additionally, when the manticore hits with a weapon attack, the attack deals an extra 5 (1d10) radiant damage (included in the attack).

Ghost-tiger manticores are closely related to the more common manticores, which they greatly resemble, save for the namesake tiger stripes that glow with ethereal light. These stripes are said to be the source of the ghost-tigers' mystical powers, such as the ability to turn invisible. Ghost-tigers don't usually work together with their cousins, but when they do, a ghost-tiger usually takes the role of leader.
Ghost-tiger manticores love silver more than anything else and are often found wearing silver rings or necklaces. They have been known to serve masters who promise regular gifts of silver, alongside fresh meat and luxurious living quarters.
