"Once the mightiest of asura ranas, Geryon betrayed hundreds of Hell’s original asura inhabitants to aid Asmodeus in claiming the plane, in the process earning himself the title the Source of Lies. His realm of Stygia, Hell’s fifth layer, hews most closely to the nature of Hell before Asmodeus reshaped the plane, and it contains the sunken ruins of countless cities and libraries predating the war against Heaven. The archdevil hoards knowledge and secrets—especially that which has been forbidden— while spreading falsehoods and heresies to mislead the ignorant, and his followers revel in the same." - Gods & Magic pg. 124 (Pathfinder 2e)
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Legacy of the Serpent. You know the acid splash cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast the animal friendship spell an unlimited number of times with this trait, but you can only target snakes with it. Once you reach 5th level, you can cast the phantasmal force spell once. You must finish a long rest to cast phantasmal force again with this trait. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
Chronicled Secrets. You have proficiency with the History skill. If you are already proficient with this skill, you gain proficiency with another skill of your choice.
Serpentine Resistance. You have resistance to poison damage. This trait replaces the Hellish Resistance trait.
