Krutor[edit]
The continent of Krutor lies in the top left corner of the map. In the southern areas, it is mostly wooded with mild temperatures throughout the whole year. However the farther north you go, the mountainous the landscape becomes, it also becomes noticeably colder. Here, it will snow nine months of the year. Krutor is also home to the Enchanted Forest, but more on that later.
Inhabitants
The three main people groups that reside in Krutor, are elves, humans (both dominant in the region), and dwarves. The elves of Krutor are very connected to the forests and nature of Krutor, they try to preserve as much of the forest as possible and treat the trees like brethren. The more populous subrace of elves here are woodland elves. Here they build beautiful and harmonic citadels in the trees, careful to only cut down what is needed. The only high elves to be found in Krutor are found in the Enchanted Forest.
The Humans here are an ambitious, mostly found in hopeful logging and/or mining towns. There are no exceedingly large human cities on Krutor, as most of the income comes from what ever they mine. These logging and mining towns make just enough to get by, as pretty much everything they cut down or dig up gets immediately exported to other large kingdoms. Some of these towns are run by greedy guilds, taking in all the gains for themselves and slaving the rest of the town.
The dwarves of Krutor keep to themselves for the most part, usually living far away from other civilization. The mountains they reside in are rich with gold and iron, making the dwarves of Krutor the largest source and exporter of gold in the world. (Which means that the seas of northern Krutor are heavily frequented by pirates.)
