Gem Genasi (5e Subrace)
From D&D Wiki
Gem Genasi[edit]
On first glance, these genasi may resemble other types of genasi― until you see their shiny skin and the crystalline spikes covering their bodies. Gem genasi are the descendants of elementals hailing from the quasi-elemental plane of minerals, a rarely discussed plane filled with a variety of gems and ore. Gem genasis, also affectionately known as gemasis, can be as varied as the gemstones found in their native plane, coming in any color and hue.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
Claws of Crystal. Your fingers are tipped with hard, gem-like claws that act as natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Crystalline Form. Your body is incredibly hard and gem-like. When not wearing armor, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield's benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.
