Gelf (5e Subrace)
From D&D Wiki
Elf Subrace[edit]
The gelves, gelf singular, are strange elves said to be "touched by gold." They are believed to be elves who once were touched by a god of another race, likely gnome or dwarf. They are known for always having golden eyes, as well as an innate magic that allows them to shrink themselves. This goes hand in hand with their excessive materialism, which often drives them to thievery. Thanks to their shrinking magic, they can escape gaols and safes with great ease.
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Art of Escape. You can use your action to shrink in size for a short period of time, becoming no taller than 10 inches, and your weight is reduced to one-eighth of normal. For the next minute, or until you take an attack action, you are considered Tiny sized. While shrunk, you have disadvantage on Strength checks and saving throws. Any equipment on you does not shrink with you, and drops to the floor. Once you use this trait, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.
Hidden Talents. You gain proficiency with one of the following of your choice: a musical instrument, a gambling set, or a tool kit.
